Optimus EMR® handles the transactions and tracking of all admissions, discharges, and transfers, both internal and external to the campus. The ADT (Admission, Discharge and Transfer) functions include all relevant and important resident information and demographics, including electronic medical records and billing information. This module also interfaces with the RHIOs, and is the source of information used in transfer sheet for temporary hospital discharges, face sheets, and the CCD (Continuing Care Document).
Because Optimus EMR® is fully integrated in real-time with the Optimus billing system, paperwork for ADT and billing is dramatically reduced. This continuous and automatic communication reduces time spent on manual entry, and prevents problems caused by inconsistent and out-of-date information. With Optimus EMR®, all systems are up to date and in synch at all times.
The ADT module in a fully-integrated patient management system that keeps track of a patient’s complete electronic health records throughout his or her visit. With this module in place, Optimus EMR® can run the entire patient care workflow, from initial registration, to bed tracking, to discharge. The ADT functions of Optimus EMR® allows the system to allocate physicians, apply policies, assign beds, and perform a variety of other necessary administration procedures for both inpatient and outpatient visits. The included reporting tool ensures the accurate delivery of statistics and quality information regarding ADT.
This module also offers advanced patient search criteria, including name, gender, date of birth, date of last visit, and national or hospital-issued identification numbers. System-wide patient indicators are visible throughout the entire system, and a patient’s electronic medical records are available from any location onsite. The intuitive admission screen makes the admissions process quick and easy; users can allocate beds, apply policies, capture diagnoses, and assign physicians with the utmost efficiency. The ADT module also allows for the updating of charge types, room types, bed lists, and allocations directly from the Point of Care. Advanced bed reservation and automatic charging of bed or discharge conditions are also included to facilitate occupancy administration. Finally, the ADT module allows for the easy selection and assignment of each patient’s policy details thanks to centrally-maintained policies and contract terms with third party payers and packages.
