NYDOH Extends Application Deadline for On-Time Quality Improvement Grant Project. Optimus EMR, Inc. is the Named and Preferred Software Vendor
The New York Department of Health and the Institute of Clinical Outcomes Research (“ICOR”) have extended the application deadline for SNFs to apply for this significant technology grant. The deadline has been extended to late May for facilities to qualify and receive up to approximately $50,000. Optimus EMR, Inc. is the named and preferred software vendor for this grant project. The Optimus EMR System for LTC facilities has also been selected for several other State and Federal Grant and Demonstration Projects, including projects with CMS and AHRQ. Bethel's Nursing & Rehabilitation Center on Croton-on-Hudson opened in 1997. This 200 bed, state-of-the-art facility offers private and semi-private rooms. It also includes a specialized unit for short-term rehabilitation patients and another for Alzheimer's patients. Bethel Nursing and Rehab Center has been approved for the New York Department of Health “On-Time Quality Improvement for LTC” Grant. Optimus EMR is the named software vendor for this NYDOH Grant Project.

Loretto, Syracuse, NY selects the Optimus EMR System and will begin by installing the Optimus C.N.A. Point of Care Module
Loretto is a network of agencies committed to the mission of improving the quality of life for older adults in Central New York. As the largest provider of eldercare services in Upstate New York, Loretto's services include a broad spectrum of care from independent living and adult medical day programs to rehabilitation and skilled nursing care, with every option in between. Today, Loretto offers 22 different programs at 17 sites in the city and suburbs of Syracuse as well as Oswego and Utica, New York. With an annual budget of $150 million, Loretto's 2,300 full- and part-time employees serve an average of 4,000 older adults each year. Loretto Health and Rehab Center has been approved for the New York Department of Health “On-Time Quality Improvement for LTC” Grant. Optimus EMR is the named software vendor for this NYDOH Grant Project.

  • C.N.A. Kiosk Based Point of Care Module
  • Optimus eMAR / eTAR / CPOE / Pharmacy Interface Module
The latter two choices give long term care facilities the option of entering the “EMR World” at lower price points, while keeping the option to move seamlessly to the full Optimus EMR System at their own pace. The latter two options also are faster implementations which produce immediate benefits.

Optimus EMR, Inc. announced today that the Franciscan Services Corporation in Sylvania, Ohio has selected the Optimus EMR System for its long term care nursing facilities and CCRC campuses in Ohio.

Franciscan Services Corporation has selected Optimus EMR for its four Ohio CCRC facilities.  The Senior Management Team of FSC conducted a thorough selection process and selected the industry leading Optimus EMR System over more than 10 other long term care software companies.

The Charles T. Sitrin Health Care Center, New Hartford, NY selects the Optimus EMR System
The Sitrin Health Care Center in New Hartford, NY will begin the Optimus EMR System implementation in January, followed by the Optimus Therapy EMR System implementation.

Since its inception in 1951, Sitrin has grown to meet the needs of the community, adding many new programs and services.  Once a six-bed home for the aged, Sitrin now provides long-term care for 133 skilled nursing patients, 40 medical rehabilitation inpatients, as well as a comprehensive array of rehabilitative services, including physical, occupational, speech and aquatic therapies, for persons of all ages - pediatric to geriatric.

Optimus EMR, Inc. Selected for New York Quality of Care Grant as an EMR and Mobile Clinician-Centric Software Solution Vendor
Optimus EMR, Inc. announced today that the Quality Care Oversight Committee (QCOC) has selected the Optimus EMR System for long term care to help nursing homes in New York State improve care delivery, decrease medical errors, and lower health care costs.

A $13.5 million grant, made available through the state-funded Quality of Care Demonstration Project, will be used to deploy the Optimus EMR System in select facilities throughout the state.

Ohio Board of Pharmacy Approves Optimus eMAR
Optimus EMR, Inc. is pleased to announce that the Ohio Board of Pharmacy has officially approved the Optimus Electronic Medication Administration Record (eMAR) Module for use in all Ohio Long Term Care facilities.   The Ohio Board of Pharmacy has strict requirements regarding the Positive Identification of nurses that are allowed to administer medication using an eMAR.  Optimus EMR’s unique use of Smart I.D. devices was officially deemed to be an appropriate method of providing positive I.D. of the Nurse administering medications and other physician orders when using an eMAR.

The Optimus eMAR System is the only eMAR installed and functioning in the State of Ohio that is using these unique Smart I.D. devices, and Optimus EMR, Inc. is the only Electronic Medical Record and eMAR System to have received official Ohio Board of Pharmacy approval for this method of Positive Identification
